About LionPoint Coaching

LionPoint strives to address a quality gap in the executive coaching ecosystem.

We are dedicated to supporting pre-IPO, early stage executives as they evolve to meet the needs of their growing organization, their stakeholders, and the present moment.

LionPoint Coaching was founded as a commitment to serving purpose-driven leaders. We partner with leaders who are prepared to accept responsibility, live with humility, and demand honesty. Our partners recognize they need to learn at an accelerated rate so they can keep pace with their fast-changing companies and develop a team and culture consistent with who they are as leaders. At LionPoint, we guide individuals and teams on a transformative path to unlock their potential.

The lion in the LionPoint logo represents our vision of enabling impactful, successful leadership: the polygons fusing together represent the union of people, ideas, goals, design, culture, and beliefs that are in part a byproduct of an organization’s shared learning and evolution. The multifaceted lion symbolizes a company that has harnessed the potential of its component parts to create a cohesive, focused, dynamic entity.

The name LionPoint combines elements of Columbia University (Lions) and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Columbia Business School and West Point were foundational experiences in Doug’s life that set him on his path to realize his own unique potential.

Meet LionPoint’s Founder

Doug Pardo is a veteran, executive coach, and founder of LionPoint Coaching.

From his first days at the United States Military Academy at West Point, Doug was drawn to the study and practice of leadership. While serving as an officer and Apache pilot with the 101st Airborne Division during combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq, Doug came to understand that operating at one’s potential was not an aspiration but a necessity.

Doug’s front-line combat experience prepared him for high-stress, complex corporate environments. He has a deep understanding of how to operate in mission-critical situations.

After graduating from Columbia Business School, Doug served in executive, management, and strategy roles for Bridgewater Associates and Booz & Company. Since 2016 he has been a Senior Executive Coach with Talentism.

Doug founded LionPoint Coaching in 2020 to formalize his vision for leader-centric, results-targeted potential building.

As an executive coach, Doug coaches dozens of C-level executives and founders of pre-IPO companies tasked with rapidly expanding their teams while simultaneously preserving and enhancing their culture, vision, and mission. He has worked with senior leaders as they've reached critical milestones. He’s advised clients through the post-exit transition and integration effort.

Doug regularly advises other executive coaches, non-profits, business leaders, and veterans. He mentors current cadets and plays a similar role in the lives of veterans running for political office, transitioning from the military, or progressing in their careers.

A New York native who makes his home in the Boston area with his wife and daughter, Doug readily acknowledges that his most important role as a “coach” is as a father: “No experience has taught me more about the significance of actualizing potential than raising a child who will one day play her own role in helping humankind move closer to realizing its potential.”
